Now my wedding ceremony and reception are happening in the same place but my FMIL really thought it would be lovely to arrange a carriage to take me to there from hotel and take us back to hotel at the end of the night. She booked it but I am thinking of some logistical problems... 1. With all of you talking about this weekend, what do we do it it rains? 2. What if it is cold?

Re: Carriage/horse transportation
Find out what the cancellation policy is and have a plan B. It probably won't be any colder than 60 degrees around your wedding date.

Re: Carriage/horse transportation
I was going to do the horse thing too but, I heard so many things about that and I backed out. I heard the horse smell is not the greatest unless you like that scent and also if it rains the scent will be worst.
But I wish that I could have that because it looks great

Re: Carriage/horse transportation
That is what is getting me. I know it looks awesome in pics -- especially with our NY themed wedding. Not sure what to do at this point. Will wait and see and maybe have car in reserve.

I wanted to do this too but it was very expensive. I didn't think it was worth it after I found out how much it cost plus there are so many RULES that go with it. JMO Good luck with it if you go for it it was one of my fairytales too...
