Cassarino Brides!

Re: Cassarino Brides!

I did it and was very happy with it. I set a higher budget for myself when it came to photography and it was well worth it.

My only complaint would be that the photojournalist photographer does not stay for the reception, which I didn't realize.

I used Anthony and loved his work.

Andrea,

Thanks for letting me know about Cynthia. The man that I met with at Cassarino, Razz, said that he used Cynthia and he was very happy with her.

I have a question (may be stupid, sorry). What is the difference between regular photos and photojournalistic? Why not just go for all photojournalistic?

Re: Cassarino Brides!

We took pictures at the reception site....so he did take outdoor pictures of us there and some before cocktail but then he left. He was with me at my house & the church as well. I think if you pay extra, he will stay. I had my other photographers stay throughout the night.

Re: Cassarino Brides!

minniebride, photojournalistic is mostly in b&w. They are all candid shots. Nothing is posed. A lot of places offer both because a lot of people like the colored shots, posed, traditional, etc. Photojournalistic tells a story. It's more of an art and costs more to process. So the cost of it is higher. The photojournalist offered by Cassarino only does 150 shots where the regular photographer will do more (300 or higher) I hope that makes sense. Personally, I wouldnt' want ALL of my pics in photojournalistic style. JMO though!

Thanks Scoop! As long as some shots are taken there, I would be happy!

ok bye liz!

Re: Cassarino Brides!

Well, wouldn't a photographer offer both? Isn't that his/her job?? Sounds a little rude that they would charge extra for what really should be included. But, thanks

Re: Cassarino Brides!

Not every photographer has the skill to do it. It takes more talent to me, to capture the moments candidly. Anyway, no problem!

Re: Cassarino Brides!

I booked Cassarino with both: color and photjournalist. It is true that the last one does not stay during the party, it leaves after the 1st dance ... but it comes during your dressing/make-up/hair time. I found it worthy because I truly would love to have candid memories. So ... I did take a deep breath and said: It is my day! and I want it! It is about the only thing I did not hold back. I am sure that I won't regret

I booked for both too. I think its worth it. Most places asked a lot more for the 2nd photographer. I really like the photojournalistic style but FH and both of our families prefer more traditional photos so for us it is a good compromise. I think they said the photojournalist stays 8 hrs vs 10 for the main photographer. I think thats fine since most of the reception is candid moments anyway, you shouldn't need them both.

WOOHOO!!! Ladies, I went to the showcase last night and looked through Jodi's album! She takes WONDERFUL shots! very natural and no CHEESY poses! I also met her! She seems like a wonderful person to work with!!! Very relaxed and fun!! I'm happy with my decision! I think I will be saving the extra money!

BTW - the photojournalistic photographer has been raised to $950!!! no longer $750!

Which one was Jodi? I was talking to one woman there and loved her work, but forgot her name.

I know I saw Sylvana there (she's not a photographer)

Did anyone see JaRule's album? That was done by Nick, my photographer
