I was wondering if there is anyone on the board using these photographers .. there has been alot of recent posts about video/photo and no mention of these particular ones. I was wondering b/c they are house vendors that were recommended to us. If anyone can post there prices or feedback about them it would be helpful !!

My sister used Cassarino for her wedding and she had problems with the photographer so we didn't bother looking at them but her pictures did come out really nice. From what I rememeber, they were reasonably priced. We saw Sherwood Triart at one of the Scotto Bros. party planning seminars and spoke with the owner for a few minutes. I don't remember exactly what he told us about pricing but I do remember being completely shocked by the price. I think it was somwhere in the 8K range. We are using Creative Compositions in Oyster Bay. We are paying about 4,000 which was more than we wanted to spend but we heard such great things about Steve that we decided to suck it up and spend the money. I'm sure in the end, we will be glad we did.

I'm using Sherwood Triart for my wedding on Sunday. So far, they have been most helpful and our engagement pictures came out beautiful! There price is a little bit higher than a few photographers, but in the same ball park as Cassarino. I, personally, didn't care for Cassarino style, but a few people I know, had them, and loved them! We interviewed Sherwood Triart and I was disappointed. Particularily since they were supposed to be very high end, and certainly charged as much.
I stated very clearly that I wanted to see their photojournalistic samples and they keep showing me books that were semi-posed. Don't get me wrong, the photos were not bad - it was just they kept showing me the wrong thing. I finally got them to admit the photos they were showing me were 'posed to look like photojournalism'. Hello? Don't you think I can tell the difference?
Also, they didn't seem to vary their cameras or lens much. No fish eye, no infrared lens... just straight color and black and white.
They are a very reputable studio and they were mostly pleasant but I didn't think their work or their packages warranted their prices.

I'm with Stef...we felt the exact same way after meeting with Sherwood and crossed them right off our list.
Our favorite part was when they pulled out the album of the wedding they did for Pierce Brosnan! Did they do this for anyone else? We were just laughing hysterically when we left...as if their shooting that wedding would be a selling point for us!

What kind of photos do you like? What is your budget?
We are using Mark Kauffman's studio and I couldn't be happier but I like photojournalism, lots of proofs, different kinds of shots and lens, 2 photographers for B&W/Color, etc...

I am using cassarinos this august I know two people who used them and loved them which photographer did your sister have a problem with??I hope it is not the one I have prices are not that pricey......... they have some good packages I recommend you check them out good luck!
