Def the Oheka Castle, the castle on the hudson is small. how many guests are you having?

Anyone with pictures of the inside (ballrooms) other than what is on their websites?

I have never been to either palce. My friend (snowcutie82) is getting married at Oheka next month though. She has had a very positive experience so far. Def FM her if you have questions. I think both places look amazing!!

The Castle on the Hudson looks more gothic to me. I love the look of it from the photos. Very elegant and very European.

Oheka from what I have seen looks more fairytale and the ballrooms look more traditional. I think its beautiful!

Personally if it were me, just by photos alone, I'd go with Castle on the Hudson simply because it is more my style. I love the look of the beams and just the rustic gothicness of it. But really both look stunning!

If you are torn, I guess go for the one that gives the better price. I know Oheka is also a hotel. Is this the case with Castle on the Hudson? Is this something that is very important for you? Is it easier to do it on LI or upstate? Just weigh the pros and cons.

I think that Castle on the Hudson is cheaper than Oheka, I think i will need to go to both and choose... i wish I could see more photos from actual weddings. keep the opinions coming! thanks so much

Im getting married at Oheka Castle on 2/19/08. I love it even though its a little pricey. The only thing is I heard the food is not so good. Even from my friend who worked there.

I looked at the pictures of The Castle on Hudson and those pictures look really really nice too

Also I just looked at the price list for Castle on the Hudson and the site fee is a lot cheaper and less for the per person price. Its which ever one you love more if price is not an issue

I was close to booking at Castle on the Hudson but decided against it to protect our downpayment account.

They have fairly good pricing for winter months. The attention to detail is amazing the location for both ceremony and reception is stunning. Whoever you choose, good luck- can't wait to see pictures.

I voted for Castle on the Hudson...AMAZING place..and i have heard raves about their food(their restaurant is actually 5star zagat rated)...

Oheka is beautiful too though... StaceyLacey had her wedding there so maybe check out her review & pics..she had nothing but good things to say

I've been to both. Colette (2007 bride) got married at COTH. I was so obsessed with their website but DH refused to get married in westchester b/c all of our family was in NYC or LI so I couldn't get married there and took him there for his bday this past august.

the area is GORGEOUS, the hotel amazing, the food at the restaurant amazing, and it's just beautiful with gorgeous views. My vote is for them. it's also cheaper than Oheka. Oheka is nice, my friend got married there, but COTH just is more my taste and i think the prices at Oheka are outrageous.

For the price they charge I'd expect the food to be the best I have ever had. That's disappointing!
