Casual dinnerware vs Everyday China…Registry Question

So I’m a little confused about registering for dinnerware.
On BBB I see casual dinnerware and then casual china. What the heck is the difference? I guess the china is a little fancier? Which did you register for? I know it says “everyday” china but is that too fancy to use all the time? I’m so confused

this is my take on the difference.

everyday china you still buy per place setting, and there are larger items (like serving dishes, carafes) you can buy to match your set. it'll generally run you more $$ than casual dinnerware.

casual dinnerware you usually buy one box that has multiple place settings - i.e. the 16 pc set that already has 4 place setting. other larger pieces that match may or may not be available, but you can match them with other non-set pieces.

that being said, we registered for everyday china, and use it everyday. it's just a matter of personal preference, we just really liked the pattern we picked out, and like having the coordinating pieces.

We had registered for everyday and then China - We got something simple all white for everyday and Lennox for China -

I think the thing is a lot of people now just get one nice ( Casual China ) so you can use for both everyday and also for nice dinners -

I wanted both but it is your preference

some people use china as their everyday china, since they make everyday china. Some get different types of everyday dinnerware, its up to you.

My mom does this, she has everyday china and then special occasion china. The everyday china is a bit more simple and less pieces

We registered for Italian Countryside by Mikasa for our everyday and Pearl Innocence from Lennox for our Fancy China.

However, I think you could use the Italian Countryside for company as well as for everyday.

I have square plates and honestly, I HATE THEM!!! I bought them because I loved them in restaurants. But when I put them in the microwave and it spins, the corners hit and get chipped. Almost all of my dinner plates are chipped from the microwave :(
