Like most brides, I'm trying to cut costs, would love to have an engagement party, but nothing too fancy or expensive.. yet i don't want to do anything tacky either. It won't be a big party either, probably 30 people max.? I was thinking of a BBQ at a nice park in Queens. Any suggestions? Our wedding is Sept. 3rd, 2007 so I was thinking an engagement party around the end of August would be nice.
Thanks!

i think thats a really cute idea- do you need a permit though to rent out the park?

OH I love that idea! That sounds really nice and relaxing. You could have some of your BP bring things like a salad or something to help you with the planning. Good Luck let us know how it goes!

Wonderful idea-we are having our E-party on 07/16 in FH's back yard-pool, trampoline, bar-I can't wait. A park is so perfect-frisbee, football catch, picnic feel-just a lot of fun!!!
