Fh just told me that there was a recall on certain dry cat and dog food. Some of the brands include pedigree, special kitty and ol' roy. They were found with traces of samonella. I'll try to find out more and let you know

Thank you so much for posting this.....My baby eats Pedigree and so I was quick to learn more about it. The recall is for all 'products produced at the Everson facility beginning Feb. 18, 2008, until July 29, 2008' Damn them......why are they recalling food that my dog could have eaten over 7 months ago!!!! I guess that means we're in the clear though. Thanks again for posting, and thanks to your FH for being such a good consumer watchdog!!!

That is great to know, I just called my mom and warned her, luckily she doesn't use those brands.

If anyone is looking for a new food, I highly recommend Solid Gold. It is a great dog food with natural ingredients, and it is only a few dollars more than the others.
