Cat Behaviourist Needed

I know this sounds weird .. but I think I need to speak with a cat behaviourist .. when my cat gets the idea that I will be leaving the house, he gets upset .. and makes it very difficult for me to leave, or get ready to leave.

Any ideas?? The situation is growing worse everyday. (He'll be seven in January .. and we've had him for a little over 6 years now .. been in this house for just about 4 years).

What does your vet have to say about it? Maybe there are medications your cat can go on (cats can have chemical imbalances too!).

Let me know if you can help me stop our cat from PEEING on everything! I swear I'm ready to throw her out... their litterboxes are always spotless but she insists on peeing on our bathmat, rug, carpet, etc. I am so sick of it! Our other 2 cats don't have this problem...

My cat is neutered, and he sprays if we leave him home a lone all day, or if we go away, he sprays on our couch...thank god for the leather couch.
