Do your cat shed like crazy??? I did not know that cats shed!!!
I dont know what to do, I brush them a few times a week and I still get covered in hair when I pick them up. I hate it... its gross.
I have seen food suplements in the pet store that is supposed to reduce shedding, but I am not sure how safe they are. does anyone have any suggestions?

Are they long haired? My cat is short haired, so he isn't too bad (plus he is an indoor cat so he doesn't get the heavier coat in winter). I also comb him as often as I remember (I find a plastic comb works much better than the brushes at getting the hair out). It also reduces the number of fur balls. Gross stepping on them first thing in the morning! For your clothes, definitely get one of those tape brush lint-remover things--works like magic getting off the hair. I de-hair myself before leaving for work every morning (I live in black pants, which makes the hair show even more!). Good luck!

They are short haired cats and they never go outside. I agree about the sticky lint roller thing... it had definately come in handy. (tried to roll the cat once... he was not so happy! )

OMG thats so mean! I wouldn't be happy either!! Maybe there is some kind of food you can give them. I have 2 cats and they both shed, I just put up with it.

They have fur and it's been hot and humid, of course they are going to shed. I don't think there's anything you can do to stop it but brushing would probably help prevent shedding all over the furniture.

One of my three cats especially sheds like mad. He is a domestic short hair, and is white. His hair is all over the place! But I adore him, so I tolerate it!
