I am thinking about getting married at Martha Clara's vineyard. I have an ppointment there this weekend. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for caterers who offer reasonable rates. Also, do most caterers include linens, tables, chairs, etc.... I am just concerned that having a wedding at the vineyard is going to ultimately send me over budget,

Re: Caterer Suggestions
I had looked extensively into this. how many people is your wedding going to be? if it is less then a certain number they can do it in teh pavillion room and that room has table's adn chairs. otherwise the barn you have to rent them or the tent. the only caterer I found who has the tables and chairs and linens adn stuff is Russ Moran Caterers he's located otu of Indian Island Golf Course in Riverhead. Also if you did Martha Clara in the off season the site fee goes wayyy down. dont' know if that is an option for you. A couple of caterers I called were: Bouy One caterers Maple Tree (They do not have a liquor license!) Christopher Michael Catering.
All the caterers will rent the items for you but just remember you have to rent: China, each knife, fork, spoon each glass table cloths napkins plates for desert apps
The women at bouy one caterers (she was the owner) was very helpful in helping me price everything out.
Ultimately we decided nto to do it do to the pricing. So we opted to still have our vineyard wedding at Vineyard caters and could not be happier
I am interested in Martha Clara for our rehersal dinner though! LOVE that place adn it was hte first place FH and I thought of when we started planning, but everythign happens for a reason.
good luck!!! let me know how it goes!!!

Re: Caterer Suggestions
Thank you so much for your advice...We are going to look at Vineyard Caters too! I really appreciate it. I have a guest list of 150-200 people, which is insane but my FH has a huge family, We are in love with the barn at Martha Clara and I think it is just going to be insanely expensive and we are on a tight budget.

That is a big guest list!!
Definitely do your research. Try Lessings or Lovin Oven caterers.
