Catering Hall Help

Girls,

Do you know of a way to decrease your minumum guarantee? I commited to 120 but I was hoping to decrease it to 100.

What do you think?

I originally guaranteed 150, but wanted to lower it especially because so many girls said due to the economy they were getting more no responses than they expected. Also, there are a fair number of children invited to the wedding and I didn't want to be stuck paying full price for them because I didn't meet my minimum.

Basically my FH just called up and asked. He said to the BM that in these times people have had to cut back, etc. and would they be willing to lower the minimum and they did. It's worth at least asking. If they won't lower, maybe they will throw something else in. Good luck!

I would call and find out if this is possible. If you say no maybe you can say you will upgrade your menu if they lower the price?

Well, asking never hurts. Given the economy and the way things are going for all brides, maybe your reception hall will extend the courtesy of changing the guarantee number. You are still in the 'triple digit' range. I wish you the best of luck!

Maybe pay for the 120, but they can throw some 'extra's' in??
