Catering Hall Suggestions!

Catering Hall Suggestions!

I understand that this is such a broad topic, but I have been engaged for a year and am finally getting the ball rolling towards my wedding!

My fiance and I are looking at a Friday night wedding in August 2011. We don't have a set date yet, but we have 8/19/11 in mind.

I have a huge family, and we finally got our guest list under 250 which is the max I want it to be since I am kind of on a tight budget.

So, any of you Long Island Brides out there that know of a good place that can accommodate 250 crazy Irish guests with a good package per head (which means it includes open bar) for under 80 dollars per person?

We also need a place that will provide a ceremony - has anyone been to a big August wedding out here?

I know it is a lot to ask, we have been to The Coral House and they are so accommodating, but we want to look around still. It is so easy to get in over our heads though, there are so many beautiful places out there that are way above our price range.

Thanks so much Ladies! Talk to you all soon!

I'm pretty sure that Leonard's would be able to accommodate you. Good luck!

for a Fri. night that time of year I think it's gonna be difficult to find something in that price range, especially once tax and grat. are added. if you look off-season or can consider a saturday or sunday afternoon wedding it might be easier.

crest hollow country club wasn't too far off that price range when we looked there. chateau la mer and chateau briand were also reasonable. westbury manor, jericho terrace, and fox hollow are more $$$ for that time of year, but for an afternoon wedding on a sat. or sun. their prices might work for you.

most halls will give you an idea of their price range over the phone, so that might be a good way to start. good luck!

Try Chateau La Mer. I have no idea what the pricing is like in August, but I got a pretty good price for a Saturday night in November.

I think JT is a lot more expensive than $80 per person, especially in August

Try Milleridge Cottage..they can hold up to 450 people I think. Some of their packages may be around that price pp too. I don't have the package details with me right now, but when I met with them some of their packages were really reasonable, which included open bar! The place is beautiful too!!

The Swan Club...I think they can accommodate your numbers. And I don't think their prices are too expensive.

Couldn't agree more. Rich and Donna are the BEST at making your wedding feeling unique and special and they WORK WITH YOU in terms of pricing. If you get to go check it out, don't worry about pricing. See if its the layout you wanted, etc. and if it is, talk to them because they will usually be flexible and creative to fit your needs!
