Cathedral Length Veils

I love catherdral length veils. Does anyone know what a standard length of this veil is? Did anyone order extra length? I went shopping for veils and headpieces a few weeks ago and I forgot to ask this question. (One store measured me for fingertip and said I would need extra length. I am only 5'8'...didn't think I was that tall...)

Any advice on veil ordering?

Ive never heard of needing extra length for a Cathedral veil. You can order them online and your height is not an issue. Since a Catherdral extends several feet beyond your feet - I think the extra length request is BS.

Don't know what a standard lenght is.

My dress unfortunatly doesnt have a long train so i wanted to make up for it with a cathedral length veil as well. I am 5'8 too bridetobe! I just bought my tiara off ebay so veil shopping is next, are there standard lengths? I want one with the ribbon edge too, let me know

I know catherdral length should be long enough but I want to make sure my entire train is covered.....I may go looking this weekend. I will let you know what I find out, tarakinspa.

I know when I tried on fingertip..they did not always come to my fingertips so therefore I have to order it to my size.

I bought my veil from the same store where I got my dress so I got to try the two on together....I am 5'9' and I did not have to get any extra length, but I guess it all depends on your personal preference.

I think she may have meant extra length for a fingertip veil. I was looking at veilshop.com and saw that the fingertip lengths came in different sizes. I think Cathedral Length is all one size.
