cathedral length veils - difficult to maneuver in during the ceremony?

cathedral length veils - difficult to maneuver in during the ceremony?

I am going to finally pick out my veil this Thursday, and so far I am leaning toward cathedral length. I'd love to have 3 tiers, so I can take off the cathedral attachment and have a two-tier fingertip length veil.

I'm just concerned about it being annoying or distracting during the ceremony. Please, those of you who wore cathedral length veils say it isn't so!

I'm getting married in the catholic church, but we're not having a mass (just a ceremony). There will still be readings, though, so we will have to sit down at some points... I have the best MOH in the world, so she can definitely handle any fluffing!

Thoughts on this before I decide? I've tried on both types a few times, but haven't gone and tried a whole bunch on with my dress like I will Thursday. My second choice is fingertip length -- I guess a lot of this also depends on what I like and what I find when I try them on... With 3.5 months to go, though, I need to pick out a veil yesterday!

I wore a cathedral veil for a mass. I as up and down a lot. My MOH just helped me and made sure it was off to the side. I loved how the photos came out and it wasn't a big problem. 3.5 months you have loads of time (I read your other post) If it makes you feel any better I planned my wedding in 3.5 months so don't worry you will get everything you need taken care of and it will all be worth it on your day!!!

I am getting married in a church and i definitely want a cathedral length veil. I love they way it looks in pictures and I am willing to deal with some annoyance (and I am sure there will be some...) for that. My second choice is also a fingertip. I still haven't gotten my veil yet and I am more than a month ahead of you!

That's exactly what I had.

I had no problems with it at all. Didn't even occur to me to worry about it.

You'll be totally fine!!

I wore a Cathedral length veil for ceremony and it was fine to meanuver in...no problem. Your MOH will have no problem fixing and fluffing you! Go for it!
My cathedral piece was on velcro so it just came right off after ceremony and photos. Then I had a 2 tier elbow length that I kept on for entire reception. One tier was the blusher for ceremony and then just flipped back to make it another tier...pics are in my community album. My veil was so plane but I loved it!
