cathedral veil question

cathedral veil question

A question for the ladies who had cathedral-length veils (or who have seen people wear them):

When you walk down the aisle, does the veil stay nicely spread out on the floor behind you, or does it bunch up?

I'm considering having a long veil, but I'm concerned that it won't stay nice as I'm walking down the aisle. Also, how much trouble was it to maneuver around with the long veil, for pictures and stuff? Was it annoying to deal with in general? Did your MOH have to fuss with it a lot during the ceremony?

Thanks!!

Re: cathedral veil question

As far as I know, mine did not bunch up as I walked down the aisle. I did not fuss with it at all during the ceremony and asked my MOH not to either - I didn't want all the attention to be on my veil!

It was definitely a bit of a pain when getting in and out of the limo and walking around for pictures. It picked up every bit of dust and dirt on the floor...not to mention a bee!

But I would wear one again - the hassle was worth it for how pretty it made me feel!

Re: cathedral veil question

I am wearing one Saturday. I think it will be a PIA, I'll let you know.

We had the option of sitting or standing for our service & I pickedstanding, b/c I thought the veil would be trouble.

Re: cathedral veil question

I didn't have a problem with mine.

I even wore it the first hour and 1/2 of my reception.

I forgot my shorter one in the damn hotel closet, so I wanted to wear a veil as long as I could. I just threw it over my arm while walking around or dancing, didn't bother me.
