Catholic Brides-- Important question regaring Pre-nuptial Enquiry/Investigation Form

We are having a DW in Ireland and have to meet all the church's requirements in our local parish to be sent over to the the church we are being married in,

I just spoke with our local priest and he said that as long there weren't any 'impengencies' (sp) with our pre-nuptial investigation that he would be glad to forward a letter to our officiant stating that.

My question is-- what would be an 'impengency' (sp)-- FH and I live together - could this ruin it for us????

Please let me know your experiences- TIA

i am not sure

but i think that only applies to you being married to someone else

being divorced and not having the marriage anulled

or being related

so i think you are safe

no worries!

I am not sure, but I think he might just be talking about communion, confirmation... that stuff

It basically means previous marriages, not being baptised or confirmed, yadda, yadda. It does not mean living together. And if a church turns you down on living together, don't lie!!! Just find another priest or church (which I can't believe you will need to). Most of our pre-cana class lived together. We had 2 bedrooms before marriage because we couldn't afford 2 places on LI. But DH took a job here, so we moved. It happens. Good luck!!!!
