catholic brides marrying a non-catholic groom
Re: catholic brides marrying a non-catholic groom
Yes they will marry you in the church however you have to sign a paper stating that you will do everything in your power to raise your children Catholic. I think there are circumstances where they will marry you at the hall but I didn't check into that. Call your church and talk to the pastor, he'll explain everything.
Re: catholic brides marrying a non-catholic groom
My FI is no catholic and we are getting married in a church, but we are having a ceremony and not a full mass. The thing about getting married in a church is that they want you to agree that you will raise your children catholic. I have heard people say that a catholic priest will not marry you outdoors, but I really don't know about that.

You can get married in the church if you agree to raise your children Catholic. Your FI doesn't have to convert.

I also wanted to add that while a marriage of a catholic to a catholic must be performed in a catholic church, the marriage of a catholic to a non-catholic can be performed outside of a church, but there is paperowkr involved. Call your church and set up an appointment. We were very nervous, but it was no sweat to the deacon. They handle this stuff all the time
