Catholic ceremonies

For those having a Catholic ceremony, what have you chosen for the responsorial psalm? I am kinda stuck with this one b/c they all seem to be about fearing God...I don't get it. Can anyone suggest one that actually has to do with marriage?

Don't get me started, I was getting so angry picking out stuff.

We were going to pick The Goodness of the Lord because I felt it was the best of the bunch words wise. But actually I had written in my music notes that the prettiest song was The Lord Is Kind. So you know what, I figure you will barely notice the words in the midst of everything, so I am sticking with the one that sounded musically beautiful to me.

thats a good point...I'll have to contact my church to see if I can hear the different options. Thanks!

haha I thought the same thing!! I think we are using 'The Goodness of the Lord'... that sounds familiar and the most tame lol..

oh and ours is being read and not sung, bc our family friends are doing the music and playing the strings for us so I didn't want to hire a cantor for one psalm! They said it was fine.

Psalm 118 is This is the day (Joncas)

We're using Psalm 128, Blest are Those (Haugen)
