Which parts of the mass & ceremony require songs?
Where would I find a list of all acceptable songs?

I ahve no clue where to start.

Re: Catholic Ceremony

When you go to Precana they give you a book that lists the whole mass, it was very helpful. As for songs, we sat with the music director and she gave us her recommendations and them we decided. I know some of my friends were given tapes and told to choose.

The order of the Mass is in in your 'TOGETHER FOR LIFE' booklet (you receive this at your Pre Cana class).

I did music for:
Attendants’ Processional “Canon in D” by Pachelbel
Bride’s Processional “Bridal Chorus” by Wagner
Lighting of the Unity Candle and Presentation to the Blessed Mother, Hymn – “Ave Maria”
Presentation of the Gifts, Hymn – “The Wedding Song”
Communion Hymn – “When Love Is Found”
Recessional “The Wedding March” by Mendelssohn

But make an appointment with your organist/music director -- that's what I did. It was better for me to hear a sample of the music and then I made my choices.

So ...
Attendants Processional
Brides Processional
Unity Candle/Presentation of the Blessed Mother
Presentation of the Gifts
Communion
Recessional

THANKS SO MUCH! I'd like to listen to some.
