Catholic Ceremony Outside?

Catholic Ceremony Outside?

Is it possible to have a catholic ceremony outside at a vineyard? My main concern is if we do not get married in a church I can not baptize our children one day?

PLEASE HELP.

Unless it is an interfaith marriage no you have to be married in the church.

It has to be in a church. If you have an outdoor ceremony you will still be able to baptize your children don't worry.

Usually priests will not marry people outside of a church. It has to be inside a church to be considered a sacrament. My parents weren't married yet when I was born and I was still able to be baptized in a catholic church.

I just discussed this with my priest last night. Two things come into play here: 1) Unless you're having an interfaith marriage, you must get married in a Church 2) If you are having an interfaith marriage, you can get married at the RH. The rule is that you have to get married indoors, but that rule was created because apparently some people wanted to get married at ridiculous outdoor places and it was becoming disrespectful. More liberal priests will allow you to get married outdoors at RH's, but you have to check around.

You can 100% baptize your children in a Catholic church! My parents weren't even married at the time I was baptized. They did have to take some class about raising children Catholic since they weren't married yet. Something similar to a pre-cana.
