Re: Catholic Ceremony Question.....
I'm having 2 readers. I actually met with the priest last night and he said if we wanted to add a third we could, but we aren't.

Re: Catholic Ceremony Question.....
I had three readers for a full mass, but I think you don't have to have someone read them, if I remember correctly my priest said if I didn't have anyone to read them he would do it. We chose three readings, Old Testament, New Testament, and the Prayer of the Faithful.

Re: Catholic Ceremony Question.....
I think you HAVE to have 2 with an option of 4.
Readings from the new and old Testaments have to be done by someone else. Responsorial Psalm and Prayer of the Faithful can be read/sung by church members/priests.

Re: Catholic Ceremony Question.....
We are only having a ceremony also and will have three readers - one for the Old Testament, one for the Responsoral Psalm, and one for the New Testament.

Re: Catholic Ceremony Question.....
You need 3. You'll still have the 2 readings AND the prayer of the faithful even if you're only having a ceremony. The priest can do these if necessary, but usually you'd pick readers. Why not just pick ppl in the wedding party if you're at a loss?
