Does anyone know if you are able to write your own vows if you get married in a (strict) catholic church? Ive never seen it done.

Re: Catholic Church Girls
ohhh i want to know the answer to this... i really want to! i'm a catholic church bride and i asked the deacon and he was going to check to see if it's possible. no answer yet.
i have no problem doing the church vows also, i just think it would be really special if we could say a few words of our own to one another too.

Re: Catholic Church Girls
We're not writing our own vows but our priest said we could and go over them with him.

Re: Catholic Church Girls
depends on how strict your church is. mine was not strict at all and told us we could if we wanted to (we decided not to-too much stress!!)
