I've been waiting two days for my church to get back to me but they haven't. We are getting married in a Roman Catholic church. Will it be a problem if the Best Man is Jewish?
If we have to make him a GM we will but he and FH are VERY close (he's like a second father to him) and he wanted him as his best man.
Thanks!

Re: Catholic Church question
I don't think it's a problem I think the only issue MIGHT be that he can't sign as a witness or whatever, but I could be completely wrong.

Re: Catholic Church question
that doesn't matter.....and fyi - the church always takes DAYS AND DAYS to get back to you, i don't know why, but they are never the best at returning phone calls quickly.

Re: Catholic Church question
As long as either your BM/ or MOH is Catholic its ok. It doesnt have to be both. My MOH is Mormon but BM is Catholic. My Cousin is performing the ceremony and he said its fine.

Re: Catholic Church question
It's not a problem, but he won't be able to receive communion if you have a full mass. We're getting married in a catholic church, but we're only doing the ceremony without a mass b/c FH is Episcopalian.

Re: Catholic Church question
both our MOH and best man aren't confirmed catholics...they just stopped after communion...and the church hasn't asked anything about their religions
they only asked to make sure me and FH are catholic, and my church is one of the more strict ones so i don't think it will be a problem!

Re: Catholic Church question
So the preist called me about 30 minutes ago. We started talking about other documents and paerwork he has for me to pick up. And wouldn't you know it, we hung up and I forgot to ask him about the Best Man!
