How many people can bring up the 'gifts' and what do you call those people?
How many 'gifts' are there?
Thanks!

Re: Catholic Mass Question
I think you can usually have 2-3 people bring up the gifts. It is the body of Christ (bread/host) and the blood of Christ (wine). Sometimes there is more than one dish for the body of Christ.

Re: Catholic Mass Question
I've only been in church for funerals (ugh) and seen 4-5 people (well, children) bring up the gitfs.
Actually, I was watching my haircutter's wedding video yesterday and she had four people (kids/teenagers again ...).

Re: Catholic Mass Question
we are having three people bring them up ... and as far as what you call them, if you are doing a program, you just write 'presentation of the gifts', and put their names next to it.

Re: Catholic Mass Question
Cool! That clears it up - I wasn't sure how to write about them.

Re: Catholic Mass Question
We are having 4 gifts and they will be presented to the priest by our godparents.

Re: Catholic Mass Question
I had 3 people, knowing that they have the body, wine, and water-however to our surprise on that day my little 8 year old cousin had nothing to carry b/c they only put out body and wine-I felt bad for her but she was very gracious---my suggestion is to tell the preist that you want 3 and to make sure they all have somthing to carry!
