i know this may seem long but i know there are catholic girls out there getting married and i NEED YOUR HELP!! i pretty much am following my TOGETHER FOR LIFE booklet....
is this the format? -opening prayer -old testament reading -responsorial psalm -new testament reading -gospel -exchange of vows -blessing of rings -prayer of couple -prayer of faithful -gifts -prayer over gifts -oreface -nuptual blessing -sign of peace -communion -final blessing
if not, what are you guys doing?

Re: Catholic Program
I thought the responsorial psalm comes between the new testament reading and the gospel... it has been quite a while since I've been to church though so I may be wrong.

Re: Catholic Program
Are you doing the unity candle? Some churches do that differently. Mine does that right after the exchange of vows. Others have the moms light the candles after the opening prayer and the bride and groom light after the vows?

Re: Catholic Program
Yeah its in your 'TOGETHER FOR LIFE' booklet (you receive this at your Pre Cana class) and its in the order of the Mass.
You could write up a ruff draft and let the priest go over it with you - that's what I did, because I have seen so many ways. And that's what the priest said to me - its how ever you want to do it.

That is true. My priest asked me how I wanted it done. We are doing it right after the exchange of vows.

Re: Catholic Program
I'm not - that's optional, instead we're doing the unity candle and flowers to Blessed Mother.
