I had an interview with the DORC. They usually do mass interviews and have a principal from one of the schools talk to you. I've been on quite a few Catholic school interviews. The question they ALWAYS ask: Why do you want to teach in a Catholic school? Also, are you comfortable teaching religion? It was a pretty easy interview- then they gave me a list of all the Catholic schools that are part of the DORC and I had to send them letters and my resume on my own. Its a pain in the neck to send them all out but I got a few interviews. Good luck!!

Thanks for responding. They asked why I want to teach in a catholic school on the application. why would they ask that again?

I dont know why they asked again- they didnt really mention anything I had answered on the application.

I went on about 4 interviews for DORC and no job yet. Its tough!!!

Also be prepared to answer whether or not you're a practicing Catholic and what you know about the faith. I got a few of those... i had no problem with them as I am a practicing Catholic, but they don't have to hire you if you're not or if you don't know enough about the faith to teach it.

GOOD LUCK!
