Is anyone having two ceremonies? I thought it would be the best way to make everyone happy, but FH's grandma said it's not possible and the rabbi won't do it. has anyone done anything like this? ANY ideas would be SO appreciated!

I've been to a few interfaith ceremonies and they incorporated aspects of both faiths- for example, they had the unity candle and readings from the Catholic side and the ketubah & breaking of the glass from the Jewish side. I'm sure that you can find a reform rabbi who will marry you along side a priest, or get a justice of the peace to officiate.

We are having a cantor and a minister perform an interfaith ceremony. My family (Jewish) would have flipped if I got married in a church, and to be honest, I wouldn't have. We are getting married at our reception place.

My mom will flip if I donlt get married in church and I always dreamed of it, his family will flip if we do. We're getting amrried in December (so outdoor is out of the question). Has anyone seen any indoor place that has a beautiful ceremony site? Or do we need to change the date

Re: CATHOLIC/JEWISH - 2 cermonies?
We actually tought about having 2 cermonies but once we really sat down and thought of the $$ end of it, it was getting out of control. Not only was the church going to cost us about 500 we were going to need the hall for the jewish cermony, then the rabbi, music for the cermony, possible flowers and possibly another set of rings. I think we figured it out to cost us almost another 2-3000 to do both.
