yep -- but you're wayyyyyyyyyyy ahead of me! I haven't done anything except book the hall. =) But it's good -- you're making me think of doing all my stuff. (Plus I can steal some creative ideas from you since I have none).

If you think that you two are wedding twins than Withthisring (formerly know as Chippatrid) and I are wedding twins. We are both getting married Sept 18, 2004 at the Manor East. That makes us wedding twins too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Catty ... wedding twin!
Hey Wedding Twin! Have you thought about invitations yet? My parents are not really traditional but they do have reservations -- like it can't be white -- preferably red or pink -- and should have the word 'double happiness' (in Chinese) on it. But my FH is sooooooo modern and he likes things simple and elegant (not showy, etc) -- any ideas? THANKS in advance for any advice!

Invitations!! Of course.. When I get home tonight I’ll post the website’s I’ve visited. One will let you buy samples. FH & I did. Really nice. We are going for a twist on the invitations too. I’ve always loved the Chinese culture (FH is not letting me wear red boohoo) and so I’m sticking with Red for the invitations.
We plan to have them say “Wedding Invitation” in english on front, open like a book with the Invitation itself in Chinese on the left and in English on the right.
PS you can buy seals.. gold or silver, either completely gold and silver or with red writing that has double happiness or with the word marriage. I LOVE the way marriage looks in Chinese. The inviations we are looking at has the Chinese simple Marriage really big on front with the words 'Wedding invitation' underneath. I found a great sight with all sorts of alternative (white, silver, gold, pink, lavendar, red) Chinese-American Invitations,.... I'll post when I get home.
Hey then june262004 is my twin! Yea! I always wanted to be a twin - and I think she is way ahead of me in planning too! Are you?

Ha, not sure- i usually feel ahead of the game-saying 10 months to go- no worries - but then I get on here or talk to others who say I better not sit tight for a sec b/c times flies and not to think I'm ahead but always behind!!!
I think we're all bound to go crazy!!!

Re: Catty ... wedding twin!
I think each person goes a little nutty in arranging a wedding.. this is why wedding planners make so much money.
I'm just trying to nail down all the big things now, so I can figure out a true budget for next year since it's all (I mean every last red penny) is coming from my pocket.
Most people expect maybe so-and-so to pitch in for the bridal shower, buy the registry gifts, drop money in an evelope, contribute maybe a hundred dollars here or there. Me, I know .. I ain't getting diddly. I'm paying for people to come see me married and to eat food. So planning is big for me.
It's kinda cool, basically I give a **** what people think of my wedding. Besides, for legal reasons my FH will be Mr/Mrs this year on our wedding date anyway, so the ceremony next year is really just a big 1st anniversary party!! hehe
