wanted to go on perfect honeymoon and what we got was waterey drinks! cuts from the beach! and a old diry room with a disgusting bathroom!! what a dissapointment! does anyone know who to contact besides out travel agent?so mad not FUNNY! : and unless you go out at 7:am and put out towels THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO ROOM AT THE SWIM UP BARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The towel thing happened to me on my first cruise!! We get down to the pool and there are towels placed on lounge chairs. Boy did I learn from that. Now I just take their damn towels off and I plant my butt down on the lounge chair.

That is the main reason I am NOT a fan AT ALL of Sandals hotels. I always found the drinks watered down, the service just okay, the food mediocre and just not a good experience. I prefer the RIU resorts (located in most islands that the SAndals resorts are and much better service.
The last time I went to a Sandals was for my sisters wedding and we all just had a bad time but put on a happy face for my sister who was getting married there. When I got home I wrote a letter to sandals explaining all that happened and they gave me 2 free nights (which is funny because it is a 3 night minimum). Needless to say, I never used it!

Hated my HM at Sandals Antigua. But we got upgraded twice because DH and I put up a big stink and became friendly with the GM of the property, a fellow German like me. I told him that I would never book another Sandals trip. This experience put me off big time.
I still have to write a letter to Sandals Corporate.....
waited 20 minutes for a drink at the swim up bar. liquor was available one night, not the next. they don't spray for mosquitos at night. SAND FLEAS on the beach power outages

aww man. im sorry to hear that. we plan on going to Sandals Grande Antigua for our HM. I heard good things from a few friends about Sandals in general and Antigua specifically. Hope you get the issues resolved.

oh my gosh...i am so sorry about ur experience Dh & I had the most amazing time on our sandals vacay in St. Lucia..and one of the couples actually raved about the Antigua resort... so sorry - wish u had a better time! that is just aweful & i hope u can somehow get compensated!

i am not a huge sandals fan..i dont want to say which one i went to cause i dont want to upset anyone if they are going there for their honeymoon...i found it to be a little dirty, the bar area in the hotel stunk like stale beer even at like 6 in the morning...the service was not all that great either...

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with your Sandal's vacation but I had a wonderful time at Sandal's Halcyon in St. Lucia.. are drinks were great (plenty of alcohol) also it can be crowded due to the time of year that you go to the resort mabye??

wow! That's stinky! I am going to Sandals grand Antigua for my honeymoon. Now I know what to look out for! We went to sandals in jamica and Beaches in Turks and caicos and had 2 great experiences! Personally, I like to drink throughout the day so a watered down drink will be ok! Also, fh got some drinks last time with double alcohol. They had no problem when he asked!

Unfortunately I have also heard lots of bad things about Sandals - but hey, everyone has their own standards and experiences. But I personality did not want to take a chance, so we are staying in a beautiful AI resort in Mexico. I am so sorry you had a horrible experience for your HM. My worst nightmare! My suggestion is to plan an amazing 1st anniversary trip to make up for it
