CB Brides..review from wedding i attended last night
So, first, let me say my SORRIES. I know I promised CB Brides that I would take pics of some things, place cards, table numbers..i am so sorry but when i remember at the end of the night, my camera had died! So I did take mental notes, lol
Ok, So CB was beautiful, as I knew it would be, this was basically my 2nd choice for RH. OK, ceremony was *I think* in something called like the Leanord room, Im sure thats not really it but i remembered to look up an the enterance but i only caught it for a minute. So, the ceremony was very nice but it was exremely cold in the room. I would definaty have rathered it cold than hot but it was freeeeezing, so just a note about that.
Then the CH was supposed to be outside but b/c of the rain, it was moved to another room. Dont know the name but if the also on the 2nd floor, if you come out of the ceremony room (which is the same room as the reception room except bigger), you make a left and then a quick right and then go forward into the CH room. Ok, so Ch was very very good. Food was great! They had the martini bar and my only complaint was that there was only one bartendar and the line grew quite long and it was like a 10-15 minute wait which kinda took away from the food. They had the chinese station which was really good, stir frye was definately 'different' but I swear, not in a bad way, it tasted very yummy but just not very chinese. Oh and if you plan to get this station, not sure if you want to get the person dressed in the kimono....this is just my personal opinion...it was like a kid, maybe 25 (very causcasion looking, lol) and had his suit on with the kimono over it like with the suit half showing so it was a bit silly if you know what i mean but whatever, if you dont care then who cares right!
Ok, so onto the reception, it was also in that Leonard or something like that room. It was the room on the 2nd floor as you go up the stairs if you were in the enterance. It was just opened way up from the ceremony. The room looked amazing when we walked in.
Ok....
App: Salad, it was very basic (just lettuce) with a good dressing.
Main course: Me and Fh and the steak, chateau briand, of course. It was pretty good, i think it could have used a little more flavor but once I put some salt and pepper on it, it was much better.
Intermezzo: well what can i say about that
Dessert: This ice cream cake was served before the wedding cake. It was AMAZING!!! It had this hard chocolate outside and really good ice cream with a little crunch on the inside. Yummmm
Place Cards: Very basic, just a little white card. They looked fine to me though
Table numbers: These also were very basic but a little too plain for my taste. It was the silver thing standing, holding up the number and it was on a white card, i think like white plastic - paper (if that makes sense) and the number written, not script just plain block lettering.
Menues: I thought they were nice enough. I mean, basic, had Chateau Briands name on it but that didnt bother me personally and then just listed the choices. I believe it was in a nice script font.
Service: Very very good! Our waiters and waitresses were always around. I think I noticed my napkin was folded a few times, unless I was drunk but no seriously they did fold it for me when I got up i think. Also, I believe the bride and groom really liked their matrie'd. He seemed really cool and very attentive.
Ok, im rushing, gotta run, Im going to write a review of Body Rock later because they were GREAT!!
