I have an appointment @ chateau briand monday night to meet with a BM. I'll ask this Monday night; but i'm curious to know now.
I've never been to an event @ CB; other than their showcase and only tasted pigs in a blanket and their fried calamari. Do they offer a tasting before booking or is it just good faith that the food taste good when you go for your tasting before the wedding? And of course the recomendations of all you LIWers that have been before

ETA: this is my first meeting w/them. Haven't signed a contract yet or anything.

you can request a tasting we didnt need to because when we booked we were going to 2 weddings that fall and the next winter. they food is amazing! nothing to worry about.

I have a food tasting this Monday! I'll let you know how it is but from the reviews I have read everyone says that its good.

We had them put in the contract that if we didn't like the food, we would get our money back.
We ended up doing 2 tastings because we didn't like the vegetarian option they gave us originally (we are both vegetarians). When we went back the second time they gave us a different option which was better and we brought our families and they liked the food.
The dessert is incredible. Mmmmmm....

ok thanks!! I'll make sure to negotiate this. Either we get a tasting BEFORE we sign; or we can get out of our contract (if we decide to book them) if we don't like the food.
