I was looking on the Town of Brookhaven website and found a beach 10 minutes from my house in Mt. Sinai. Has anyone ever been there? Was it big? I think I am going to check it out this weekend. It says it has a fishing pier and picnic tables. Sounds like a nice spot to hang out at.
I grew up going to Cedar Beach and alternate between there and West Meadow now. It's not a big beach but it's nice. My parents kept their sailboat there so I spent lots of time there growing up. They have a nature preserve there too that you can walk through.
In HS I used to go there on summer nights- they had HS bands play there sometimes. My friend's boat is docked there.

My parents have a summer house in Rocky Point and when we wanted to go to a different beach than the one a block away, we would go to Cedar Beach. I remember a little snack shop, and bigger waves than the LI Sound in Rocky Point. Very nice!
OMG-Cedar Beach was my old stoppin ground!! It is absolutely adorable!!
