Celeriac is celery root... maybe you can find it under that name? Try turnips or parsnips as an alternative!

What flavor does it give off?

I can't really say, I've never had it alone either (just in recipes). If there's only a small amount, I would skip it (especially if the other 2 ingredients are in it). Not to worry!!
