Dear Cingular, You suck. You are the biggest sucks that ever sucked at sucking. Pro-rating is a scam and 45 days does not equal 2 months. Perhaps you should locate the calculator when it comes to the billing process, because arbitrarily yanking numbers out of the air is not what you'd call 'Legal'. Also, 'customer service' is not the same thing as scolding your customers. I hope I didn't make you cry too much when I called you 'a nightmare of human existence'. However, I did mean it when I said your company is soulless and incompetent.

I just switched from AT&T/Cingular to T-Mobile. I got a sweet new BlackBerry phone for free. I'm so cool now

i had a huge problem with AT&T last year when trying to port my number. It took them 2 weeks to do it and then they wanted to charge me for a whole month because since the porting took too long it went 3 days over! and i refused to pay it.

While you're at it, can you please write them a letter demanding that they stop using the word 'overage' when they really mean 'the exhorbitant fees we charge you when you go over your meager allotment of free minutes'?

i called and complained and yelled. and then i called back and talked nicely. and it didn't do jack.
FH ended up calling them and pretending to be my husband and yelled at them (he can get real mean on the phone, thats why i love him ) and they took off all the charges except i ended up having to pay the taxes for some odd reason.
it came out to like $6 so i just paid it. at that point it wasn't worth fighting anymore even though in the beginning of the porting they said i wouldn't be charged and it would go thru within 24 hours!

ohh FH also mentioned he worked with many lawyers and could easily make a big thing out of this.
ya just kinda have to threaten them, without outright threatening. and if they say no just hang up and call back and speak to someone else.. or keep going to someone higher.

yea i get the rage-aholism syndrome sometimes too. it just annoys me when obviously i'm right and they're wrong. they're the cellphone company. they are ALWAYS wrong.
sometimes it even bothers me when FH says the exact same thing as me yet it'll get done for him and not for me. it's like they wont take me seriously unless i have a penis!

Wow, earlier this year we ported a number through TMobile for a business and no joke, it took them SIX MONTHS to get it done. What a mess that was. Then they turned off the phone for nonpayment--they sent the bill to the WRONG address.
The whole situation was a nightmare. I use them for my personal cell phone too. They've only been slightly better with that.

Verizon is definitely my favorite as of now. Ive had them for almost a year.. and so far i haven't had any problems. i just don't wanna jinx myself.

I actually left Crapular to escape to the sunny shores of Verizon! I still have a phone woth Crapular because when they added a 3rd line they TOLD me it was a 1 year contract but signed me up for a 2 year!! So I'm stuck with this one line!
Verizon, however, makes me happy!

oh no! I just switched to Cingular from NIGHTMARE T Mobile (I moved and gave them my new address - they kept sending bills to old one, then shutting me off for not paying. I would call, give them new address, and the same thing would happen the next month and they would shut me off. This went on for 4 months!!! No joke. I flipped at them.)
Is cingular really that bad???
I have heard Verizon is the best - but it is the most pricey I think...you get what you pay for!
