Cell Phone Service

I'm thinking about getting a cell phone and was wondering if any of you could make a recommendation on a provider....with some idea on your plan.

I've only had Verizon (I started out with Bell Atlantic), so I can't compare personally, but wanted to share that I love my service and never have any problems. I'm trying to get hubby to switch - he has Sprint and it s u c k s!!

Nextel for me

I get free nights, free weekends, unlimited 2 way radio & 500 anytime minutes

i have a nextel. i get 500 anytime mins, 2500 nights & weekends and 2500 radio mins.

stay away from AT&T!!! I had them and was very disappointed...

I have Verizon now and like it.

I have Verizon and it's fine, I have no complaints. I use to have Sprint and I liked it alot, I never had a problem getting service.

I agree with the advice about staying away from AT&T, I've head only bad things.

Wow - lots of Verizon fans! I didn't know there were so many!

I have a Nextel at work - unfortunately no one in my personal life has a Nextel so I wouldn't be able to use the 2 way radio.

How much does verizon cost? Do they have free nights and weekends?

I have Sprint and love the service, FH has T-mobile and is out of range half the time....

DH & I have the family plan with Verizon so we can share minutes. It's a little cheaper then having 2 seperate phone plans and we still have different phone numbers.

In the past I have had ATT, Nextel & Sprint, and I have been the most satisfied with Verizon.

I went to the Verizon web site and it does not appear as though the plans have free nights and weekends. Is that true?

I have Verizon too and have been very happy with it. I think it's around $35 (though after taxes and stuff, more like 45-50) but I do have unlimited nights and weekends and 300 anytime.

Stay away from T-Mobile, they're awful. I have verizon now and am very happy with it, You do get free nights and weekends. :o)

We have verizon..I love it..if you have any dropped calls, tehy reimburse you..we have free nighst and weekends to anywhere in teh US and to Canada, so this hsa really cut down on our home phone bill..I really liek verizon.weve been with them almost three years..had AT& T before them and hated them. Ive heard T mobile is great..but dont know from experience! God luck!

I also have 400 anytime minutes and 1000 mobile to mobile minutes with verizon, free nights and weekends and all I pay is 39.99 plus tax.

I saw our bill this morning - we have 900 regular minutes, unlimited nights & weekends, 2 phones with 2 different numbers, no roaming in about 80% of the US for $95/month.
