Celtic Blessing

Celtic Blessing”
by Ed Fitch

“Above you are the stars, below you are the stones.
As time passes, remember...
Like a star should your love be constant,
Like the earth should your love be firm.
Possess one another, yet be understanding.
Have patience with each other,
For storms will come, and they will go quickly,
Forced to dissipate in the light of your love.
Be free in giving of affection and of warmth.
Have no fear, and let not the ways
Or words of the unenlightened give you unease.
For your love is with you,
Now and always!”

We used this at the end of our ceremony, just before we were pronounced husband and wife.

Re: Celtic Blessing

We worked with Pastor April and she was great. She presented us with a lot of options and we just kind of glided into these choices. The hands poem and our reading I added on my own.
The vows that she helped us write were also celtic in nature and flowed seemlessly with everything else.

It's kind of funny because I had to look at the actual ceremony to find these things and as I sat here reading it, I was bawling like a baby.
