Celtic Wedding?

Celtic Wedding?

We are starting the planning of our October 2010 wedding. We both have decided to follow our hertiage and have a CELTIC themed wedding. Anyone have any great ideas or maybe you have been to a Wedding like this?
THANK YOU

Bagpipers!
I can't wait for you to post pics of this! I love the idea. We will try to incorporate something Irish into our wedding.. and bagpipers are it!
I'm sure you will find tons of stuff. There's also a show (Who's wedding is it anyway?) they did an episode with this theme... you should check it out. I'm sure it's listed on a website somewheres.

Good Luck!

Re: Celtic Wedding?

We didn't really consider our wedding to have a Celtic theme, but we did subtly include our Irish heritage throughout.

Our invitations had a Celtic knot border, we had a bagpiper outside of church, my RB carried a pillow made of Irish linen and lace with Celtic knots embroidered on it, our unity candle also had Celtic knots and an Irish marriage blessing inscriped on it, and we hired an Irish-American band for the reception.

Hope this gives you some ideas, happy planning!

I'm having an irish dance troupe perform for like 15 minutes during dinner. IT's not my theme, more like a thank you to my mom. You can call any school and ask.

I just got a unity candle from celticcandle.com - that would go along with your theme. HTH

I just hope everyone knows that there is a difference between an 'Irish wedding' and a 'Celtic wedding'
