Centereach?

Hi everyone! What are your opinions of Centereach. We looked at a house off Middle Country Road by 7-11 and White Castle and really liked it. Anyone live there?

I grew up there and my parents/uncle still live. We go there to see them quite often. It is in the center of LI so travel is pretty easy but Middle Country is a horror story. FM me the street and I will try to help!!

We have been driving around Centereach and I didn't realize what a nice place it is. It is nice and quiet and plenty of stores to shop in. I am excited! Keep your fingers crossed for me and send some house dust my way. Thanks!

As you know we are in the process of buying there, I dont remember exactly but I think our homes are close by one another!!!
I dont know the area very well yet but I will say FH and I were VERY picky and liked a few houses we wouldnt bid on due to teh look of the area but we really liked Centereach! To me its the typical middle class working neighborhood and I liked that alot!!

Just so happens that I grew up in that VERY area...off of N. Washington Ave. to be exact. We lived on a dead end which was really nice for neighborhood kickball and softball games. My father still lives there. The specific area you're talking about went through a run-down period (which had alot to do with the homeowners) but has shaped up in tha last 5 - 7 years with the selling of homes and renovating and adding new homes.
