Centerpiece 101 Questions

Do you buy all the vases, candle holders, floating candle holders??? Or do you buy just the flowers???

Can you 'rent' these things anywhere?

I am so clueless.

some florists let you rent them, some you have to buy them from and others you can just purchase the flowers and buy the vases elsewhere, its really your choice and the florist's policy

It depends on the florist you are working with. Some florists will rent candelabras, etc. The best thing to do is to ask each florist you meet with. I know my florist informed me that it's cheaper for me to provide my own votive candles, since he doesn't get a good deal on them. I spoke to my reception hall and they are going to place votives on every table.

Hope this helps!

My florist did everything--even candles on the mantel. I could have done it myself for less, but at the time, this was the least stressful way.

If I were you, I'd pick a venue before you start worrying about flowers - a lot of women change their mind about aesthetics based on the room the reception will be in.

Its up to u, rent may be cheaper than buying the vase form the florist or u can go out and buy the vases yourself if they come out cheaper.

sorry to repeat but - yes, most florists will sell or rent you whatever you put the arrangements in... I opted for spending the most possible on the flowers and the least on the container - The arrangements should be terrific!

YOUR FLORIST SHOULD PROVIDE MOST OF THAT FOR YOU. OFCOURSE THERE IS A FEE BUT I HAVE FOUND THAT IT IS CHEAPER TO HAVE THEM GET IT THEN YOU TO WORRY ABOUT IT. LUS WHAT ARE YOU GOINGTO DO W/ A HUNDRED VOTIVES AT THE END OF THE NIGHT.
