I have not booked a florist yet, but I would like an idea of what to expect to pay for centerpieces. I definitely need the high ones, and I want a mix flowers, some roses and I'm not sure what else. I was going to check out Pedestals and Flowers by Brian. Do you think $100 each will do it?

Unfortunately if you want high ones they will be over $100. I went to flowers by brian and they quoted me a price of 8500 for 14 centerpieces, 1 bridal bouquet, 10 small arrangements for cocktail tables, chuppa (which he said would be 1000) , bridal bouquet, 6 bridesmaid bouquets, 5 boutonnieres (sp), placecard table arrangement, and cocktail table arrangement. I think he said the centerpieces alone were 200 +! I found them to be very high for what they were offering but you may have a different experience. Good luck!

I need about 20 centerpieces and really wanted the high ones but I didn't think I would be able to get them. My firend used Flowers by Brian and although they were gorgeous, they cost $200. That was not in my budget. Some ladies on this board suggested Flowers by Burton and let me tell you - I am getting the high centerpieces I want and my total package for: 1 bouquet 1 MOH 5 BM 12 Bouts 20 Centerpieces (high ones) 3 Flower Girls baskets 1 House Arrangement X-tra Rose Petals to through Cake Flowers House arrangement was only $2500. Plus you get to choose any flower you want. I would definietly recommend sitting down with Michael and getting some info. Good luck

I had high centerpieces with all white mixed flowers, including roses in a clear tube vase for about 110 per. They were large and beautiful from Flowers by Brian.

The number is (631) 424-3377. They are located on Route 110 in Melville. I met with Michael and he was really great. He knew all my vendors and how they worked, I was very excited. Best of all, he only required a $50 deposit to book him. Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

A nearby florist
Does anyone know of a place closer to Sayville(around exit 57 on the LIE)? After reading some postings, it seems that most brides recommend using a florist close by. Thanks!

A nearby florist
I'm using Rambling Rose florist on Main street in Sayville. I just went last night and found that they had some good ideas with reasonable prices.

Annie02 - you can definitely do that!
I am getting large high candelabras for $125 a table. If I wanted the high ones without the candles it would've been $100. My florist is in Westchester because that is where my wedding is located, but I am confident that you can find someone to do high centerpieces for $100 on LI. Definitely tell the florist what you want to spend and it is amazing how they come up with what you want for your price! Good luck.

I used Flowers by Burton, and had BEAUTIFUL, high centerpieces, with cascading ivy and candles, and they were only $90 each! You can definitely get what you want for under $100. And, I was allowed to use ANY flowers I wanted!!!

High Centerpieces with Candles $90 each - Flower Michele
I saw both Burton's and Florist Michele's - they're both reasonably priced and do beautiful work. I went with Flower Michele because I wanted teh high candles rather than the spiral votives.

E-mail me directly at '[email protected]' I had half of the grand ballroom upstairs for my reception, but I used the starlight room for my ceremony (it was raining so we couldn't use the beautiful outdoor garden area), and I had the Emerald Room for my cocktail hour (I wanted a different look between the cocktail hour and the reception). E-mail me with any questions - I LOVE talking about it!Welcome New Vendors
