Centerpiece

I am having the below centerpiece with mixed colors for my July wedding surrounded by rose petals. My FH really wants candles. The table is going to be round and we are in the Skylight room in Jericho Terrace 7pm reception. What type of candles should we have: tealights, votives or small floaters???? I am going to get them through my florist. I don't want to be responsible if anybody burns down anything. Also, should I ask Jericho not to light them until it starts to get dark?????? I don't want them to burnout before the night is over. The reception is from 7pm-12am.

Thanks for your help......

Hi!

My girlfriend had something very similar at her wedding and had votives and it looked amazing. Have them light the candles 10-15 minutes before you all enter the room. It'll look fabulous!!!!

Plus the candlelight reflecting off that fabulous dress.....hee, hee.

If you want to do votives, you should buy them yourself. It is probably less expensive than getting them from the florist. They go on sale at michaels.

I love your centerpiece and I was thinking of doing the same thing only with all black magic roses. If you dont mind me asking how many roses are you going to have in each fishbowl and how many inches is the fishbowl?

I am doing a mix of two roses, deep pink and light pink with darker edges. About 18 roses in a 6'-8' bowl with three bubble bowl votives and rose petals inbetween the votives.

I'm getting married on 7/6, 6:30 - 11:30, and I will be having candles built into my centerpieces. I believe it will bring a day wedding into a night wedding subtly. I plan to ask the wait staff to light the candles when dinner is served. It creates a calming effect. Hope this is helpful.

just a tip i thought of - instead of getting the candles from the florist you could try a dollar store and buy them yourself if you are looking to save $$

(I am getting married at the same place and room too! - so let me know what you decide and how it goes!)
