Centerpiece games

Anyone have any suggestions for unique games to give away the centerpieces? I have people already saying that they are going to take one home.
I need some advice or games.

just was at a wedding where they had stars on the bottom of 2 of the coffee cups so you couldnt find out till dessert time.
ive also seen pass the dollar in a little game with the dj (kinda like hot potato) and something with the person with the birthday which is closest to the wedding date gets a cp

I just went to a wedding where there were three centerpieces (one big one in the middle and two small ones on the side). They asked someone to take out a dollar bill and passed it around the table. The person who had it when they said stop gave it to the person to their left and they got one small centerpiece. They then asked whose birthday was the closest and they got the second small centerpiece. For the big one they said whoever took out the dollar bill got it!

Love the idea of tying a string to a chair at each table...

Something you can do (not really a game) is to give the centerpiece to the person at each table whose birthday is closest to the wedding ...

One of the most popular ways brides give away the table centerpieces is to put a number on the bottom of the centerpiece and give each guest a number. At some point in the evening, a number is called, each guest checks his or her number and whoever has the called number gets the centerpiece. There are many ways to put a twist on this traditional activity.

Another fun activity for divvying up the centerpieces is to require guests to produce a certain item. The DJ or MC moves from table to table, announcing what guests at that table will be required to produce in order to get the centerpiece. Maybe it's a Georgia quarter or a mint, or a doctor's appointment card. Whatever it is, the guest at each table who produces the requested item will get the centerpiece.

u can get them made by websites. theyll customize them and then say about 15 out of 150 of them would have a winner symbol and that person gets the centerpiece. i thought it was cute beacuse fh and i loveeee scratch offs.

Went to a wedding where they did this also but it was one huge CP.

let them fight it out.
or, the last person to leave from that table can have it. (gets guests to stay for the whole reception)

Our dj did this: 1 person from each table had to get out $1... the dollar got passed around to music and when the music stopped...the person holding the $1 thought they won... but no, they switched and started passing it around the other way... the person who had the $1 when the music stopped won the $1 and the person who originally took out the dollar 'bought' the centerpiece

For my I brought red ribbons and had my BMs give to each table. The DJ played the music and the faster the music went the faster the ribbon was passed. When the music stopped the person holding the ribbon kept the centerpiece.

My DJ also suggested someone using a $1 bill and pass that around. When the music stopped, the person holding the dollar bill got to keep the dollar and the person who the dollar belonged to got the centerpiece. DH and I opted not to use this idea because we were sure it would cause problems believe it or not. HTH

Try asking your dj for ideas.

Ours did a pass the napkin kind of game. Someone had to tie their napkin in a not and they passed it around. Whoever had it at the end won the cp. BUT, they had to 'work for it' by getting on the dance floor. Each winner had to find someone from another table to dance with. It was a fun icebreaker and made for a lot of great pictures because everyone was laughing hysterically.

I've also heard of it where in the end they give it to the person who tied their napkin in the knot.

I think I like the dollar game. We went to a wedding a month ago and they played that game. I ended up with the dollar, lol!
