how are you giving away your centerpiecs on the table?? are you just letting people choose? passing something around?? how should i handle this?

I'm planning on selecting someone from each table and making a special notation on their placecard (like a dot or star or something) and at the beginning of the night, the MC will tell them to hold onto their placecards..at the end of the night, i'm going to have the MC announce that those with stars inside of their placecards are the ones that will take the CPs home..

Our florist is actually coming back to break up the centerpieces and hand them out as little bo-k to each family at the table...

I think we are going to do that game witht $1 or the napkin
$1- you ask someone at each table to pass around a dollar, they do it like musical chairs & whoever the music stops with keeps the $1 and the person who donated the $1 gets the centerpeice
or napkin pass & whoever has the napkin at the end of the music gets it

i put little pink stickers on the bottom of certain peoples placecards (we had little police cars). I wanted certain people to get it! totally rigged it

a long time ago somone posted these butterflies that you wind up and put in a card and when u open the card the butterfly pops out. i was going to have them pass around the card the winner who opens the card gets the centerpices! and i get to included butterflies lol

our center pieces are included in our package, so we probably dont get to give them away, oh well.....
ps i like giving them to person at table with close anniversary, or bday or been together the longest, etc..... have mc or dj make an announcement for them

i think we are going to use who ever b-day is closest to our wedding date get the cp or the old pass around the napking till the music stops- still one more thing to think about!!!

We don't want to pick specific people because someone might get offended.
Maybe we'll have a penny put under a plate or water glass and have that person be the recipient of the centerpiece.
