Centerpiece Help

Were going to do our own candle centerpieces and we just realized we don't think we can get them set up in time for our morning ceremony, early afternoon reception. For those of you doing the branches with the hanging votives, how much are those costing and can you provide a picture? For those of you not doing those, but ordering your CPs, what was the cheapest quote you got and what type of CP was it?

Re: Centerpiece Help

I am having candle CP's with a flower ring around it. I purchased a glass vase, putting a nice candle in the middle.... having my florist Springs & Twigs make a flower ring to go around the vase and having 2 votives - one on either side of the flowers. She gave me a great price on the flowers.

I will drop off the vases and candles to my hall with exact instructions on how to set it up and a picture to make it easier.

Re: Centerpiece Help

cant you assign the job to a close friend or not so close family member....

like someone who wont have to get ready too early and can bring the supplies and set it up?

Ive only heard those cp's are very expensive

could you try a local florist who wont charge you so much?

Re: Centerpiece Help

I'm sure you're right. There's got to be someone we can ask to set up for us. Problem is he doesn't really trust anyone else. We can't set up til after tables are set and I'm not sure how early they'll set up the tables at the hall. I'm going to keep thinking and call the hall to ask. I'm sure there is someone who can do it for us. I really like what we picked out and want to make it work.

Re: Centerpiece Help

I asked about 5 people to help set up C-pieces, my sister in law, 2 cousins and 2 friends. We definitely didn't need all of them, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't just one person doing it all and missing the cocktail hour. As it turned out, they all did it, so it took about 10 minutes and the Matre'd at the hall helped them as well.

I didn't want to leave my C-pieces at the hall from Wed. night to Sunday (we paid the last installment and dropped off placecards, and cake accessories on Wed.) so I had my brother and sister in law bring them in their car. It all worked out well. Ask a few people to help you out who are not involved in the bridal party or photos.
