i want to do the vase filled with water? gel? and stick a flower inside and have a candle on top...does anyone know what i should fill the vase with and how much do you think it will cost me
Late to the party, but if you want a flower and a candle and you don't want flaming centerpieces (and yes, I've seen it happen), I'd put a single stem inside a tall vase, fill with water, and use a floating candle. Saveoncrafts.com That website has cheaper stuff than that, it just happens to be the appropriate picture.

Re: centerpiece help
The water can get cloudy if you do it too far in advance, so don't set it up the night before. I'd get a stem or two and try it in advance. Some flowers fare better than others.
