Centerpiece Idea

So I wanted to do something non traditional for my CPs. I'm thinking of doing an old fashioned wooden crate (like for apples...not too big...I don't want it taking over the entire table) with (fake) hay in it, and then putting a mixture of candle apples, maple syrup, and mini pies inside (which will be the favors).

We're going for a fall harvesty theme, so I think it will work nicely. 1) What do you think of this idea? and 2) Where do you think I would get a wooden crate like that? I looked online and all I can find are ones that are like $20-$40 each...and with 40-45 tables...that isn't going to work!

Try homegoods for the crates, maybe they have something similar or just as cute!

I actually like the idea. Just a suggestion though, I would skip the hay . Maybe stuff the bottom of the crate with something else and use a gingem (Sp?) print in your colors of top of it.

You could actually contact a local apple orchid they might be able to lead you in the right direction. I'm from Ohio so I might be able to find out some info on this. (I know a lot of people who would have access to such things - lol, I grew up on a farm).
