centerpiece question

I am getting married at the Bourne mansion whcih is a beautiful old mansion - i am having trouble figuring out centerpieces

I am going for winter look in the ball room - going to have light blueshimmery table cloths, snow flake glitter on the table, white chair covers with bows to match the table cloth

the two possibilities are
1 - to have 5 arm candelabra with candles which cost about $55 to rent plus candles
or
2- to have 4 arm candelabra with candles and a centerpiece of white roses, silver tipped pine cones and mm balls (silver christmas balls) which cost $300

oh i have 20 tables

what do you think i should use

Re: centerpiece question

I like possibility number one...very simple and elegant...too much might over do it

Re: centerpiece question

Thats a pretty big price difference, but if you have the money, I would go for #2

Re: centerpiece question

I love the idea of #2, but since it is quite expensive, I do think #1 would also look great. However, have you considered incorporating the pine cones or Christmas balls somehow with #1?

Re: centerpiece question

Personally, I think $300 per centerpiece is just too much, but if you love it and can afford it than go right ahead. I just wanted to give you another suggestion that would look nice with your winter theme, what about a white branched tree with hanging candles and small candles around the base. I think that's a very elegant/romantic look for your hall. Just an idea.
