Centerpiece Question

Centerpiece Question

I'm starting to make appt to visit florists and am going through these boards for ideas of prices, questions to ask, and recommendations (THANK YOU for everyone's help!). I do have one question I'm embarrassed to ask the florist: when they give you the price for a centerpiece (specifically I want a high one in a glass vase) - does that include KEEPING the vase, or is the vase returned?

I'm asking 1) because the centerpieces are so expensive, I'd hope the vases would be included, and 2) I have the little old Italian ladies in my family who never fail to walk out of a wedding with a centerpiece in hand!

THanks for your help!

Re: Centerpiece Question

from what I have seen, for high centerpieces you dont get to keep the base that makes it taller, but low centerpieces people can take.

some florists will charge a rental for the stands, others may let you keep them, but generally the stands are not included for the tall centerpieces, but people can take the flowers and the entire low centerpiece

Re: Centerpiece Question

My CP's are tall 24 inch glass trumpet vases and they are to keep, whomever takes home with them.

Many of the tall CP's are rentals and have to be returned, a guest can only walk away with the top part. I also had the same questions too.

I will be booking with Designs by Rose. I really loved them and getting the most for my money, especially with my CP's. I have a pic in my album!

Re: Centerpiece Question

Im having tall CP's and get to keep the vases.. for 10 dollars more per CP the florist added extra flowers and we got to keep the vases. It didnt make all that much sense lol but the price was right so we went with that deal. Otherwise, and most of the time, you can not take the vase home as the other posters said ., your guests could take the flowers home either with tissue paper provided by your florist (i,e,.if you have long stems in your vase) or if the flowers are simply placed at the top of the vase in a separate container they could take that home with them.
