Centerpieces

Has anyone made their own centerpieces witth candles with or without rosepetals??? Seriously considering it to save some $$... would love to see some pics. thanx!!

There is a candle centerpiece thread on BHB - check it out - some good ideas. I'm thinking the same way you are - trying to save some $$.

i ordered my centerpieces off of www.100candles.com - they had great ideas and were really inexpensive.

I made mine they cost me 50 a piece.

I purchased large hurricane glasses, filled with some sand, put 3 different sized pillar candles and scattered rose petals inside and outside.

All I know is people were fighting over them at the end of the night.... ill post a picture as soon as I get some.

Do you know if the candles last though?
2 Florist I spoke to this weekend, specifically mentioned nomatter where you're getting your candles from, make sure they last!

Some candles are really cheap online, but they burn in about an hour!!

I was also told this by a florist... and they wanted to charge 5-8 bucks for 1 candle... I told them to go to AC more and get them from 1-2 dollars!!! HASHHAHAHA

Then they went into this entire then about the burning time...

Let me tell you... I have candles burning all the time and I get them from ac more... #1 they burn Inward... and don't drip, and #2 they last for lots of dinner parties... I have the same candles so far for

Thanksgiving, Dinner party #1, Christmas Party, Christmas eve, Christmas night, and we also burn them all the time just for fun...

I don't believe it personally...

BTW all the centerpieces are sooooo pretty!
