centerpieces

i'm sooooo excited!!! to save money i decided a looong time ago that i was going to make my own centerpieces. i've had a bunch of inspiration but, unfortunately, have been unable to find the 'right' parts to put it all together. i was working with my event planner on this but got word last week that she is no longer with the company i freaked out b/c she used to be an interior designer and i was really going to rely on her to help me pull 'the look' all together with the table linens & stuff. i mean, i was having a hard enough time envisioning the table decor as it was so i knew i was in no shape to pick out color of linens!! i had even gone so far as to get quotes from florists but we just can't afford them. i was at a loss and then...

then i paid a visit to one of my favorit online vendors and found my solution. as soon as i saw this 'vase' i knew it was perfect for the centerpiece. i am going to fill them with bushy birch and/or curly willw branches and put votives around it on the table. then, depending on linen color, i'll scatter fall colored leaves on the table. the best part is that i can envision this with any of our wedding colors.

The picture, with the amaryllis looks just like my centerpiece!
I like the idea with the curly willow, so romantic!
